In August of last year my heart decided to get my attention in a dramatic way: a heart attack, rushed to St George's in Tooting for a life saving stent to be fitted; and then the aftercare began. The care I have received has been second to none from the amazing team at Epsom Cardiac Rehab, they didn't just help me recover physically, they helped me rethink my lifestyle. With their expertise, patience and just the right amount of tough love they've showed me how to get my life back on track.

I'm raising money to help them keep doing what they do best, supporting people at one of the most frightening points of their lives to come out stronger the other side.

I am participating in the London to Brighton Bike ride in September, and if you can spare a few pounds you won't just be donating to an amazing cause but helping people get a second chance, just like I've had. Thank you from the bottom of my much healthier heart all thanks to Epsom Cardiac Rehab and their amazing staff.

I was hoping to gather a team to complete the ride with me, and as everyone else stepped back, my gallant sister-in-law, Ali was left as the only 'volunteer' - so we are embarking on this journey together, because, I assume she is happy to still have me around, and grateful to the rehab team too!
