in 2010 Steve was the grateful recipient of a life-saving heart transplant, a gift that gave him the opportunity to live life to the full, pursuing his passion for cycling and to spend time with his wife and best friend Linda, who tragically died from breast cancer in 2015.

Steve was very much loved by everyone he met all over the world, and he helped change so many people's lives for the better because he had such a positive impact on so many people.

He was passionate about organ donation and transplant sport, winning World and European championship events.

It is something really quite special and poignant to us that Steve's own life was transformed by a heart transplant, and now he has helped donate his liver to help another person live theirs.
