As a child I spent a number of years in and out of hospital having heart surgery after heart surgery four to be precise (being looked after by doctors surgeons and nurses. This whether I knew it or not was my path into care. Being looked after brought out something in me that made me want to care for others. I have worked for Caring Together for 10 years and felt I needed to do something to mark the occasion so in my infinite wisdom (or stupidity) I decided to take on a 61 mile bide ride from London to Brighton (Off Road). I have never done a ride longer that 26 miles but hope to build up my stamina in the coming months.
