London to Brighton Cycle Ride · 20 September 2025

We provide practical support to people who look after a family member or friend who is ill, disabled or frail due to age. We work across Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Peterborough. We are determined that no unpaid carer should be isolated, struggling alone or reach crisis point.

Story

Caring for someone is an amazing thing to do. But if carers are isolated, stressed, overwhelmed or exhausted they can't provide the care they want to, and may be in crisis themselves. Caring Together supports carers with expert advice, opportunities to meet other carers, breaks from caring, counselling and more!

As a child I spent a number of years in and out of hospital having heart surgery after heart surgery four to be precise (being looked after by doctors surgeons and nurses. This whether I knew it or not was my path into care. Being looked after brought out something in me that made me want to care for others. I have worked for Caring Together for 10 years and felt I needed to do something to mark the occasion so in my infinite wisdom (or stupidity) I decided to take on a 61 mile bide ride from London to Brighton (Off Road). I have never done a ride longer that 26 miles but hope to build up my stamina in the coming months. So if you have and elderly relative in need of care we and others need funds to undertake this so in the words of Sir Bob Geldof himself, and I will clean this up a bit, GIVE US YOUR MONEY NOW!!!
