Story
Every year, churches all over the country support Christian Aid week and St John’s Moulsham is no exception. Our lovely volunteers have organised a Coffee Morning with a Bring and Buy Sale and a quiz and there are donation envelopes in church. But now, instead of house to house collections, we recognise that many people like the facility to donate online, such as through JustGiving.
This Christian Aid Week, your support could help mothers in Nairobi, Kenya, facing the devastating reality of urban poverty and the daily struggle to feed their children.
Most parents wake every single day knowing that they must go and earn money, otherwise their children won’t eat that evening. Fridah knows this reality well. But she's determined to protect her grandchildren from hunger.
Through the Christian Aid partner, Beacon of Hope, she’s received tools, seeds and training to grow fresh vegetables in a small city space – food she can cook for her family or sell to earn income.
‘Now I can plan. I can buy this; I can buy that. I can help my family.’
Please donate, your gifts can help fund this vital support
Everyone is equal in the sight of God. For over 75 years, this truth has inspired Christian Aid to stand together in solidarity with our most marginalised global neighbours, of all faiths and none.
