Story
This is our annual fundraising page in memory of our beautiful boy Zak Edwards. It coincides with the annual memorial football match on 29th June at 2pm at Austrey playing fields and is for anyone who wants to donate in his memory but cannot be there with us.
Due to the generosity of everyone who attends we generally raise about £3000 on the day plus the donations on Just Giving
Every penny raised helps fund invaluable research to combat this awful cancer
Anyone who knew Zak knows what a kind and caring person he was who would do anything to help anyone - always making people happier with his massive personality and cheeky sense of humour.
When Zak was in and out of hospital he was so impressed with the work and kindness of the volunteers that he pledged to “give something back” once he was well again. Sadly he is no longer here to be able to do that but we will continue to do it in his name so please donate if you are able - even the smallest amounts will help to fight this horrible cancer.
One in three people in the UK knows someone affected by a brain tumour. This disease is indiscriminate; it can affect anyone at any age. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002.
Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this. It is the only national charity focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. Help fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
