Story
I normally agree to do whacky challenges after a few drinks, however having supported our previous marathon runners from other charities, they have provided me with the inspiration and motivation to do my first marathon for The Rose Road Association.
The Rose Road Association is a charity that provides direct care services including respite breaks, community outreach, holiday activities and advice for over 300 children and young adults with severe physical disabilities, learning difficulties, and/or autism.
The Backwards Marathon will see me starting at midnight on the 23rd April where I will be walking in a WEDDING DRESS, from mile 26.2 all the way to mile 1 taking in the views and getting to the start before the normal marathon starting at 9am.
I am hoping walk the whole route in about 7.5 hours.
On the wedding dress, I have space for businesses to put their logo on, for a minimum donation of £150. (Small logo £150, and medium logo £200).
So if you would like to sponsor me, no matter how much, this truly is a one in a lifetime experience for me, as I will never do this again, but because the money raised will go to the continuation of the charity providing direct care services to these extraordinary children and young adults.
