The Crypt school is again going big. I have challenged the school to see if we can run the distance of the globe which is approx 24500 miles. This is the Run The World Challenge. What it will equate to is every student completing a marathon distance in a week. I am asking each student to raise a £1 for every mile they do so the aim is to raise £26000. Our chosen charity is Lets Talk Well who are a local charity helping people with mental health. The event starts on Friday 10th October and finishes on Friday 17th October. Please take time to read the poem to understand what they do.

IN A MINUTE

In a minute at our office, if you picked up the phone

You’d meet Jake, who’s suicidal, he’s had enough and all alone.

An hour later you’d say ‘Hi’ to a quiet Sally Anne,

Who’s lost for words, and cuts her arms to escape those ‘Big Exams’.

By 11am Ben’s mum’s online, “He’s really lost the plot!”

She’s despairing ‘cos she knows that at 14, he drinks a lot.

Time moves on….but Zoe can’t, ‘cos life without her brother

Is not much of a life at all… and she wishes she’d been kinder.

Could you give us a minute? Just a minute of your time?

‘Cos you walkers, bikers, RUN THE WORLD-ERS…
