The Care of the Elderly team are raising money via various events to help improve patient areas and experiences whilst an inpatient at UHCW NHS Trust.

1. WOLF RUN - Sunday 3rd September 2023

The "pack" will be running/climbing/crawling/swimming/getting very muddy in aid of raising money for the Care of the Elderly wards. Money will be going towards projects organised by the Shared Decision Making Council to help improve our patient bed spaces.

2. UHCW MEMORY MARATHON - Saturday 23rd September 2023

A team from UHCW will be walking a marathon loop incorporating University Hospital Coventry and Rugby St Cross. Money raised will be going towards the UHCW Forget Me Not Charity to improve patients experience in hospital who are diagnosed with dementia and delirium.

3. STARLEY SPORTIVE 2023 - Sunday 24th September 2023

The day after the memory marathon, Ellie is cycling the Starley Sportive Long Route (63.1 miles) with UHCW Charity - hopefully the legs aren’t too sore from the walk! The padded cycle shorts are on order!

4. COVENTRY HALF MARATHON - Sunday 29th October 2023

Ellie is upgrading from Coventry park run and will be running Coventry Half Marathon at the end of October!
