Story
Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem. But hundreds of thousands of people are still struggling.
Mind believe no one should have to face a mental health problem alone. They'll listen, give you support and advice, and fight your corner.
During the COVID 19 pandemic, I struggled with a period of low mood and started to overthink in ways I wouldn’t want to revisit. I took a huge step and joined the army reserve to keep focussed and a new challenge during this tricky time.
This is when my running journey started and I believe the fitness accountability helped improve my mental health and it changed my life for the better.
There is no better feeling than the runners high and I am aware of how hard a 22km half marathon is, but with your donation to a great cause, it will help motivate me train for this challenge.
Because running positively affected my mental wellbeing, it would be fitting to do something I enjoy whilst raising money for a mental health charity.
Thank you in advance and remember it’s okay to not be okay and support is available.
