Story
When the power goes out and there is no end in sight
Did you lose power, water, or heating during the recent storm?
For four days, many of us lived without electricity.
The cold crept in, rooms went dark and our devices died.
It was hard but we knew there was an end in sight.
We had four days, Ukraine has had 1,095.
Families have lived without reliable electricity since February 2022.
Tonight, a mother in Ukraine will:
• Climb 10 flights of stairs in the dark (no lift, no power)
• Boil water over a fire outside in -11°C
• Huddle her children close and hope the two hours of electricity come soon

Generators don’t end the war but they do change what survival looks like.
Why we are raising money
Helping Hand for Ukraine is raising funds to buy 10 generators for communities facing ongoing power outages.
Generators provide:
• Heat when temperatures become dangerous
• Water when pumps stop working
• Light, communication, and the ability to cook safely
• A small but vital s
ense of security in the middle of uncertainty
We need £12,000 to purchase 10 generators.
• £50 helps keep a generator running for a week
• £120 supports a family thr
ough a month of blackouts
• £1,200 provides a generator for one household or shared community space

How you can help
Please take a moment to place yourself in this situation.
Then, if you are able, give whatever you can.
Every contribution helps keep children and families warm and safe this winter.
Thank you for caring.
Thank you for standing with Ukraine.
And thank you for helping us restore power - one generator at a time.
