Story
Thanks for visit our JustGiving page.
Our names are Bonnie, Josh, Zoe and Rose. We all have Type 1 Diabetes. This means that our pancreas does not produce Insulin so we have to have our Insulin in a different way. We have injections or pumps. We also have to check our blood sugars regularly.
November is Diabetes awareness month and we are going to do some challenges to raise money for our team which is the Worcestershire Paediatric Diabetes Team. Since we were diagnosed our team has helped us so much. They have helped us with our diabetes, checked we are ok and taught us lots about our diabetes. They have also got us new pumps to make it easier for us. They have helped us to make friends with other children who understand what it is like to have Type 1 Diabetes. So we wanted to do something nice for them to say thank you and to help them keep helping all the children. The money you give will go towards special events where we get to meet other children with Type 1 diabetes, which is good because then we don't feel like it's just us.
We are going to do lots of challenges like scoring goals, squats, reading books, laps on our bikes and dancing for the 100 children in Bromsgrove and Redditch who have Type 1 Diabetes. We will update you with our challenges when we do them.
We are also having a cupcake sale on the 24th November after school if you want to buy one.
Wish us luck and Thank you for reading our page
