On Yorkshire Day, I will travel to Cumbria to embark on a challenge stretching across the UK to raise awareness and funding for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

I will attempt to complete the Coast to Coast journey on foot by walking from St Bees on the west coast to North Yorkshire’s Robin Hood's Bay in the east during August.

As Chair of North Yorkshire Council, I am repeatedly reminded of the amazing work that the Air Ambulance does to save lives in Yorkshire.
