Story
Thank you for visiting my page.
I am supporting Sarcoma UK, a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments. Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. By supporting me, we can help change this. Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep the Support Line of Sarcoma UK open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care.
My lovely step-daughter Natasha has been living with myxoid liposarcoma for over four years, having been initially diagnosed in late 2020. Myxoid liposarcoma is one of the many different types of sarcoma, and through 2021 she was treated with a combination of chemotherapy and radiotherapy at the Royal Marsden Hospital, Chelsea.
Since that time, through regular consultations and scans with her incredibly supportive teams at the Royal Marsden Hospital and the Brompton Hospital, further tumours have been identified and treated with a combination of surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Natty continues to receive chemotherapy every four weeks to try and stop the spread of the cancer and shrink the tumours.
Natty has always been such an active and healthy person, and an enthusiastic PE teacher who competed in triathlons and the London Marathon. Unfortunately, she had to retire from her teaching career on medical grounds. As a wife and mother of two young children, the last few years has been challenging for her and her family.
I hope you are able to support my Kilimanjaro challenge since every penny I raise will support Sarcoma UK and contribute to supporting existing sufferers and enhancing the efforts to make research breakthroughs in the future.
Thank you for your support.
