Trek India 2008 · 14 October 2007

We’re Age UK and we’re here to make sure every older person feels included and valued. Whether it’s providing free information and advice, tackling loneliness and isolation or campaigning for older people’s rights – we’ll be there. Your support makes it possible.

Story

After the amazing experience of trekking to Machu Picchu in May 2007, I'd like to start by thanking everyone who helped to get me there and made a massive difference to Help the Aged.

In 2008, I hope to be celebrating my 60th birthday trekking for 8 hours from Kareri to Bahl village as part of Help the Aged's Trek to India. However, without your help I could just be sitting at home with a big slice of cake!

In total, I will be trekking for eleven days in the Indian mountains at altitudes of up to 3600m before visiting one of Help the Aged's most important projects in Delhi, a Mobile Medicare Unit.

It promises to be great fun and an amazing challenge, but most importantly it will help raise a significant amount of money to ensure a future where older people are free from the disadvantages of poverty, isolation and neglect.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Help the Aged will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Thank you Delhi much for your support.

Pam x
