Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page

.I am walking Ben Nevis with another 12 friends & colleagues in memory of my wonderful brother. Alan was the most amazing person you could ever meet, a fantastic brother, friend, son, father to 3 wonderful children and husband to his lovely wife. His memory will live on forever through The Stan Bowley Trust and his 3 children.

The team is made up of totally inexperienced climbers, who under the guidance of a guide will be climbing Ben Nevis on July 14th 2012.

We are fundraising for The Stan Bowley Trust (Charity No 1144398) working in partnership with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Charity, Birmingham. Both charities are fundraising to bring CyberKnife robotic radiotherapy cancer treatment to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

CyberKnife is able to deliver high dosages of radiation to tumours with sub millimetre accuracy, therefore giving hope to those who previously had none.CyberKnife machine cost about £3.5m, but that is a drop in the ocean compared to other treatments, and nothing compared to the cost of life.
