On Wednesday 10th October I shall be flying to Istanbul with my bike and tent, from there I will cycle the 2000miles home through Turkey, Greece, Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia, Crotia, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland and France.

For the first two weeks I will be accompanied by my friend Dave then I'll be on my own for the rest of the journey. As if all this isn't challenge enough I've just been diagnosed with a fractured back but I do have my consultant's ok for the trip.

In leaving work I'm saying goodbye to the best team I've ever worked with so I have decided to put my trip to good use and raise money for a cause which means a lot to us as a team, epilepsy action.
