I am celebrating my 50th birthday this year and wanted to do something memorable. So......I have decided - along with my long-suffering family - to walk the West Highland Way. This is 95 miles from Milngavie, Glasgow to Fort William. Friends and family arer joining us en route so it should be fun - if the midges don't get to us first!

I also wanted to raise money for this excellent charity which is particuarly relevant now that the credit crunch is beginning to be felt.
