The 3rd Annual (Royal Greenwich Charity Pantomime Horse Race                                                      2012

                     "It's more than a Pantomime Horse Race"

 

On Sunday 23rd December, The 3rd Annual (Royal) Greenwich Charity Pantomime Horse Race, in Aid of Demelza Childrens Hospice, will be looking to raise over £10k this year and the race itself will feel and look altogether bigger, with 3 extra charity events planned,before and after the 'Race'.

The Race has steadily grown in popularity over the last few years and has managed to raise thousands for charity in the process. 

There are 4 fundraising events altogether that are intrinsically connected to the Race.

The 1st event will be a Christmas auction that will take place on Friday 21st November at De Vere Hotels. Items to bid on will include 2 Tables on the opening night of Jamie Oliver's new restaurant in Greenwich (Spring 2013) and Director Box seats for any game at Charlton Football Club. There will be many amazing and rare exclusive items to bid on. Further details available on this website.

2nd event:

On the day of the race, Devonport House (by the National Maritime Museum) will be the starting line event. This pre-race ceremony will start at 12pm (approx) & will host appearances by The Mayor and Mayoress of Greenwich, along with stars from this yeers pantomime tshows and will also feature entertainment for children including  Father Christmas ( & Mother Christmas) plus face painting. There will also be 'The Demelza Children's Hospice Prize Raffle' plus, possible celebrity appearances on the day.

The 3rd event will of course, be the main race. The partispating entrants will include 20 Pantomime Horses, various Fruit and Vegetables, a Hippo, a Unicorn and the Zebra (the Winner of the 2011 'Horse' Race) plus rumours of 2 Ostrich's also taking part this year. 

The 4th event planned will be an evening after race Christmas charity gig for the grown ups. This special gig will be taking place at 'Oliver's Bar' in Nevada Street, Greenwich and will be headlined by.... 'NOT The Rolling Stones', the UK's top Rolling Stones Tribute Band-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTAN25Jhy50. Support will be in the shape of 'The Counterfelt Beatles' Paul McCartney aka Peter Bailey, who will be putting on a special solo set playing everything from the Beatles to the Who. Refreshments will be available plus after gig DJ playing all the big classics along with a few Christmas hits thrown in for good measure.The charity gig overall promises to be a very fun and spirited affair.We also may a some big surprise guest(s) making an appearance which will not be announced until nearer the date.

Tickets prices £20 (ALL proceeds go direct to Demelza Childrens Hospice) Tickets will go on Sale on Sunday 18th November. They can only be purchased via this website and will be on a strict 1st come, 1st served basis owing to expected demand.

Only 100 tickets will be made publicly available and will not be available on the door.
