US Marine Corps Marathon · 26 October 2014

The Afghanistan Trust gives assistance to soldiers of The Parachute Regiment who were wounded in action, or the dependants of those killed in action in Afghanistan. It achieves this through financial and welfare support. It also sustains the memories of the loss of life and sacrifices made

Story

The Afghanistan Trust are sending a team to run the gruelling 26 mile course in and around Washington DC.

The USMC assisted Marathon sees able soldiers, veterans running alongside their wounded compatriots - the ultimate test of endurance and team work.

The team details of our wounded, serving and veterans are published on our web site. See photos below.

Not only will this raise funds for the Afghanistan Trust it will give our wounded and the rest of the team a chance to take part in an amazing Marathon in support of our Veterans and their families.

If you would like to sponsor one or more of our team please contact Colin Smith at ceo@afghanistantrust.org
