Last year a very dear friend sadly lost her battle with cancer. Pat Hardy was an inspirational lady who touched the lives of many people, not least in her roles as Head Teacher and Ordained Local Minister in the church. In a moment of madness – or was it inspiration – we agreed with Pat that it would be great to do a parachute jump to help raise funds for St Oswald’s who provided her with such great care in her final days.
Well we did it – mad (or inspired) Headteacher and Curate jumped 3500 ft out of an aeroplane on the 16th of May at Peterlee Parachute Centre – Parachuting for Pat - what an experience!
All sponsorship is going to a great cause in memory of a great lady.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also a very efficient way to sponsor: St Oswald's Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Part of the money raised pays for tuition and jump costs, the remainder goes directly to St. Oswalds.
