The very thought of running the 26.2 miles(42km) London Marathon made my hair stand on end. It sounded quite daunting at first and had put me off a number of times from participating. However, this time I somehow struck a different cord, seeing the plight and suffering of the countless children and adults alike motivated me.
With persistent training I aim to accomplish my ultimate goal – which is off course to finish the marathon and by doing so giving many a chance to live!
50% of the funds raised will go towards The Anthony Nolan Trust. As you may no doubt be aware, a bone marrow transplant is often the last hope of survival for the thousands of children and adults with leukaemia. Helping a loved one and allowing them to enjoy their short life is all that family/friends can do and that is where you come in. Your money can help these patients gain a new lease of life
The remaining 50% will go towards helping the needy and underprivileged children in India via the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha.
