Story

Anyone fancy a relaxing summer spent sunning yourself on the glorious sandy beaches of some remote stretch of Carribean/Mediterranean/Welsh coast - budget permitting?!!

Not this intrepid band of trans-hemispheric friends! [Will and Grace from the UK; Cait, Elly and Dan from Oz] For we shall be embarking on the endurance trip of a lifetime. In the safe hands of our wonderful 1993 Ford Ambulance, we shall depart from Goodwood in the UK for final destination Ulaanbataar, capital of Mongolia. We will encounter seas, mountain ranges, deserts, and perhaps the most challenging of all...border crossings for 12 countries with only French, Spanish and English language skills between us. And we're not even going to Spain. Handy.

The reason behind this jaunt? The main aim of the Mongol Rally is to raise as much money as possible for some fantastic causes. This year, the Rally is supporting Christina Noble Children's Foundation. They do incredible work that aims to help some of the most disadvantaged children in Mongolia maximise their life potential through educational, medical and community programs.

We would be so grateful for any amount you are able to donate, and would love to keep you up-to-date with our plans and the trip itself when we finally set off on July 23rd 2011. Please let us know when you donate if you would like to receive these updates: if anything, it'll probably give you a laugh to hear about how we have to sacrifice our hair by way of bribe on the Russia/Kazakhstan border!!!

Please check out our website for full appreciation of the ridiculous challenge ahead of us!!! http://mongolmadness.wordpress.com/
