<p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Behind only Sir Gordon Richards in the all-time list with a total of 4,732 winners, Pat had a hugely successful career and was Champion Jockey on 11 occasions in Britain, riding three Derby winners as well as four victories, including on Dancing Brave, in the Prix de l&rsquo;Arc de Triomphe - a joint record. In 1985 he won the Breeders&rsquo; Cup Turf and in 1991 the Breeders&rsquo; Cup Sprint.
