For over 70 years, HCPT has journeyed to Lourdes with thousands of children and adults with additional needs-creating magic for guests and volunteers alike. All faiths, one heart. As our founder said: "It wasn't me at all - it was all of us." Your support means everything. 💛

Hi folks, thanks for taking the time to visit this page.

I am trying to raise money for HCPT- the pilgrimage trust, group 161.Every Easter the trust bring about 5000 children, from the Uk and Ireland on a pilgrimage holiday to Lourdes. The children have special needs which could be physical, learning, social or emotional. They travel in smaller family groups of between 20 - 30 people. Group 161 is one of these family groups. The family groups are made up of volunteer helpers and children. Almost all costs are met through fundraising in the local community.

I have been fortunate enough to get a place in this years London Marathon and hope to raise enough money to send at least one child, hopefully two, to Lourdes on this pilgrimage. The work of the group has a wide reaching, positive effect on so many lives. The children enjoy fun, friendship and laughter. They make friends for life. Their families enjoy a weeks free respite knowing their child is being well cared for by trained caring adults, and many of the volunteer helpers are themselves young adults who have an opportunity to be positive role models and develop their skills and interests for the benefit of the wider community.
