On 26th April I'll be running my 2nd London Marathon for UK Youth.
UK Youth supports young people in the UK to realise their potential, keeping them on track, engaged and energised to live good lives and stay out of trouble.
In these harder economic times, I think UK Youth's work is especially important. Many of us continue to enjoy a privileged lifestyle and I am more than ever determined to give disadvantaged young people all the opportunities to succeed that I can.
In addition to running the Marathon I've signed up for further volunteer work with the charity in September 2009.
RAFFLE PRIZES!
Everyone who donates £15 or more will automatically be entered into my Raffle. One ticket is awarded for each £15 donated (e.g. £30 gives you two entries). The draw will be made from my Stetson on 2nd May 2009.
I am donating all the initial prizes, which include:
- The Grand Prize is an exciting Weekend Away for two (details by word of mouth or by e-mail *)
- Several Bottles of fine Champagne, red and white wine
- A Trial Lesson in a glider in the Cotswolds

Training Update 25th April - The race is tomorrow!
Somehow an entire month has past since my last training update, and now the race is tomorrow morning. I feel reasonably well prepared - thanks to all for your encouragement and support, even though some of you clearly think I am mad!
I'll be wearing a fairly standard blue running top, with my name above my Running Number and a UK Youth banner below it. See you on the big day!
