<p>Last year a group of us swam across the Thames at Canbury Park Gardens by Kingston Rowng Club to celebrate the wedding of Mark and Marei ( and also because it seemed like a good idea at the time).</p> <p>This year the plan is to swim a mile starting from the towpath by Woodbines Avenue and ending at Kingston Rowing Club (actually the Boathouse Inn) for a few beers and a picnic.</p> <p>The event takes place on 30th July - Sam's birthday. We will set off around 2pm.</p> <p>The Fircroft Trust provides <a title="Residential Services" href="http://www.thefircrofttrust.org/services/learning-disabilities/residential-services.aspx">Residential services</a> for 20 adults with learning disabilities needing varying degrees of support and a <a title="The Fircroft Centre" href="http://www.thefircrofttrust.org/services/the-fircroft-centre.aspx">Resource Centre</a> for over 60 adults who live in the local community with severe to moderate mental health problems.</p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
