Last year a group of us swam across the Thames at Canbury Park Gardens by Kingston Rowng Club to celebrate the wedding of Mark and Marei ( and also because it seemed like a good idea at the time).
This year the plan is to swim a mile starting from the towpath by Woodbines Avenue and ending at Kingston Rowing Club (actually the Boathouse Inn) for a few beers and a picnic.
The event takes place on 30th July - Sam's birthday. We will set off around 2pm.
The Fircroft Trust provides Residential services for 20 adults with learning disabilities needing varying degrees of support and a Resource Centre for over 60 adults who live in the local community with severe to moderate mental health problems.
