Race Update

Hi All. So, the race is run! I managed to sneak under my target time of an hour (finishing in 59.25). For those saying they would double their donations if I carried on to do the 16 mile race, I would like to say I was tempted, but that would be a lie.

Many, many thanks for all of the donations. As you can see, we have pushed through the £1,000 mark from this site, and with another chunk of money raised 'offline', we've reached a healthy total. Of course it isnt too late to donate for those who have not had a chance to yet - you can still do it through this site.

Thanks again

Paul

I guess most people visiting this page know that my Dad, Colin, passed away earlier this year after a short battle against cancer. Towards the end of his illness, Dad was cared for by the St Clare hospice, close to the family home. The hospice provides its patients with care and attention and a very peaceful environment - something Dad and his family were deeply grateful for.

St Clare hospice is heavily reliant on charitable donations. I've therefore decided to put myself through a small amount of misery in a bid to raise some money for it. I'll be running (competing seems a little too grand...) in the Kingston Running Festival on Sunday 11th October, over a distance of 8.2 miles (13.2 kilometres).

For those in the area who fancy seeing my pain, please feel free to join Joyce and Charlotte near the finishing line. The good news for spectators is that the course is beautiful. The bad news is that it takes place at 8 am!

Thanks so much for visiting this site, and thanks in advance for any donation that you are able to make.

Paul
