The Three peaks challenge · 28 August 2009

It provides sporting facilities and opportunities for disabled children. The money raised is used to provide sports equipment, coaching and tuition, the hire of sports halls and the funding of outings and adventure type holidays.

Story

Hey everyone,

Just to let you all know we successfully completed our challenge last weekend with a time of 23 hours 10 mins, it was a hard challenge and one we all had to dig deep to complete on time especially taking in the weather we had to deal with!! So a massive well done to all that took part.

Below is a brief breakdown of our trip. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that sponsored us, A big thank you goes out to four oaks golf society that very generously donated £155, I've also added a few photos of our trip.

Leave Harlow at 5am - arrive Ben Nevis at 3.55pm - distance 564 miles

Start climb at 4.40pm complete climb up & down 3hrs 37 mins

Leave Ben Nevis 8.40pm - Arrive at Scafell Pike 2.15am - 220 miles

Start climb 2.30am complete climb up & down 5hrs 30 mins

Leave Scafell Pike 8.20am - Arrive Snowdon 12.45pm - 215 miles

Start climb 1pm complete climb up & down 3hrs 3mins

Total time 23 hours 10 mins

Followed by 300 mile trip home - Arriving back at 10.15pm
