Dylan was a bright, beautiful and inquisitive child with an insatiable curiosity. He grew into a fine young man, adored by his family and many friends, he was full of compassion, kindness and fun. A talented musician; Dylan was clever, thoughtful and funny, with an exciting and promising future. However in the summer of his fifteenth year Dylan became depressed. He began experiencing feelings that were alien and terrifying. His school grades dropped drastically, he became fearful, quiet and anxious and despite the loving support of his family, Dylan took his own life that autumn.

The tragedy of Dylan's loss has affected not just his family and friends but his school, his youth group, his Scout group and the wider community. His loss has highlighted the widespread and pressing need for education and resources to promote the mental well-being of young people.(words by Dylan's Family)
