Gofal Cymru - Fire Walk Challenge 2009 · 1 November 2009 ·

Platfform is the mental health and social change charity. (We were formerly known as Gofal). We work with people who are experiencing challenges with their mental health, and with communities who want to create a greater sense of connection, ownership and wellbeing in the places that they live.

Story

Hi Guys,

I know its short notice but have been asked to take part in fire walk for the mental health charity Gofal Cymru.

Mental Ill-health affects 1 in 4 of us at some point in our lives, but people just don't talk about it.  Gofal Cymru helps people with mental illness who live in South Wales, helping people stay independant and get better.  Gofal Cymru also campaigns against discrimination that many people with mental illness suffer.

It is a cause very personal to me, as I have friends who have experienced depression, and I have seen how much it has affected their lives.  So come on dig deep- you can just give a £5 or £10- I have to walk on 20ft of burning coals!

Please take the time to donate just a £1 as every penny will make a difference, if you can donate then please do so but just a £1 is amazing.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
