Flora London Marathon 2009 · 26 April 2009 ·

We’re the 10 million people living with arthritis in the UK. The carers, researchers and healthcare professionals. The family, friends and fundraisers. United by a clear vision: a future free from arthritis. One in which no one is limited by the pain, fatigue and isolation that arthritis can cause.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I started running the London Marathon in 2000, and I decided to try to run 10 marathons on the trot. I've started every London Marathon since, and I'm hoping to finish this project in 2009 with a good fast run.

So far, my marathons have gone thus...

2000 4:24:14 2001 6:16:09 2002 7:02:19 2003 4:15:41 2004 3:55:57

2005 3:37:29 2006 3:34:33 2007 DNF      2008 4:22:22 2009 3:41:08

(In 2007 I managed to run to 40Km, although I knew nothing about it - I passed out in the heat and ended up in St. Thomas's Hospital.)

I am collecting money for the Arthritis Research Campaign because our daughter Lizzie suffered juvenile arthritis in her childhood, and we are keeping our fingers crossed that it is now in remission. This is a charity which is close to our hearts.

Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Arthritis Research Campaign will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
