Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my just giving page.

Seven years ago I changed doctors and had to go for the usual routine health check, I had the usual water and blood samples taken and within 24 hours I was called back and referred to the hospital. Further test were done  which revealed I had stage 5 chronic polycystic kidney disease complicated by the fact I only had one kidney, which I was not aware of until this diagnosis ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ž๐Ÿ˜ข.

Luckily my dad's kidney was a perfect match for transplantation and after a 12 month work up we underwent a successful transplant ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜€.

Five and a half years later everything is still going fine and I'm raising money to help other transplant patients.

I would like to say thank you to everyone for donating. Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is a silent illness and not everyone is lucky enough to get to transplant stage. I am one of the lucky ones and this is why I want to tell my story and to help others.

Please help me beat my target.
