Thames Path Ultra · 30 April 2008

We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

Thank you to everyone for their donations to this worthy cause. I can report that the Thames Path Ultra Event was completed on the 17th Jan and you can find a short write up and pictures here : http://earley-gunners.blogspot.com/2009/01/thames-path-ultra-2009.html

In addition, my work colleagues at MMA Insurance were kind enough to hold a "dress down" day on the 30th Jan to support Cancer Research UK and an additional £496.69 was raised.

Again, thanks to everyone for their support.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I will be participating in the Thames Path Ultra event on Saturday 17th Jan 2009 in support of Cancer Research UK. The event involves a 50 mile run which follows the Thames River which starts from Kings Meadow in Reading and finishes at Shepperton, London.

Details of the event can be found here: http://www.thamesultra.com/

As well as raising money for a very worthwhile cause, this is a personal challenge for me as I continue to recover from a broken ankle I suffered last year.

Any donations would be gratefully received. You can donate through this site which is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.

Paul
