Story

Thanks for visiting our fund raising page.  Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: or just make a donation.

We are raising money in aid of Help For Heroes by cycling the straight line distance from Lashkar Gah in Helmand Province to Massereene Barracks, Northern Ireland.  The distance is 6,092km as the crow flies.  We intend to do this over the space of 4 months during our 6 month deployment on OP HERRICK 10.

In total we set ourselves 122 days to complete the distance between us.  That basically equated to 25km each per day, every day, for 122 days

Not a bad bit of calculation as we have managed to finish the cycle ride and only over ran by 7 days.  Thank you very much to all those who have made a donation to us, your money will be put to good use.

Paddy has now completed the Lap the Lough, which was the last step of the journey to be made.  140km in 6 hours, and yes it hurt, well the last 25 km anyway. A fantastic effort as he got off his death bed after contracting swine flu.  Paul has done an excellent job on the Gym bikes in Helmand, well done to him.

The donations are still coming in and thank you to everyone that has made a donation especially to the tin in the shop in Lash, you know who you are.

Your hard earned money will be put to good use.  We can't say Thank you enough.

Please please please find it in your heart to make a donation or pass this page to your friends and family.

Kind regards

Paul and Paddy
