On December 3rd 2008 we are going to climb the tallest free standing mountain in the world, Mount Kilimanjaro.

Kili stands at a massive 5,895m.  To put this in to perspective Ben Nevis is 1,344m. 

There will be a team of people from Arup participating in this event who aim to raise over £18,000 for Engineers Against Poverty.

We are each raising £1,500 each on our own and then another £3000 between the two of us = £3000 each!

EAP works with industry, government and civil society to fight poverty and promote sustainable development.   EAP believes that our generation has the resources, the technology and the know-how to eliminate extreme poverty – i.e. poverty that kills - within a generation.
