Story

Hello, and thank you for visiting my website.

I am writing this update two days following the FLM 2008.

Once again it was an incredible experience with sun, rain, cold and cramp all adding to the 'fun' of running 26.2 miles ( + 500m for a gas leak !!).

I finished in position number 8,924 out of 35,000 runners. Not bad for an old guy !!!

The experience is still as compelling now as it was at my first marathon 12 years ago. I am pleased to say that despite all of the hazards I achieved a personal best time of 3:51. This beat my previous best by three minutes ( and I am now 3 years older !!).

Your support throughout the campaign has been fantastic. I started with a stretch target of £3,000 to raise, extending to £4,000 through March and now am close to £5,000.

I would like to thank each of you for taking the time and trouble to sponsor me ( again for many of you). The Dreams Come True Charity will be immensely pleased with this contribution.

Thanks once again.........

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Dreams Come True Charity will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
