Well I managed to complete the course close to my target time and position. It took 2hrs 14 mins (less than 5mins over the average time) which considering the wind and wet conditions which were particular draining on bike section through muddy fields I was very pleased. I came 22nd in my age group consisting of 35 over 40's men and 82nd of 116 total competitors. I've attached links from the Mens Fitness web site (fame at last) with pictures of me competing, well not exactly competing more like looking like I've just escaped from Alcatraz and being over taking by a skinny pensioner on a crap bike!
thanks again for everyones support especially my traveling fans (my whole family), and keep an eye of for me in next years full distance London Triathlon - my entry has already been accepted.

That chubby old baldy couldn't complete a triathlon.....well put your money where your mouth is........please.
I've just entered the double distance event so I'm now attempting to complete: 800mt swim, 20km Mountain Bike (off road), and 9km run.
New goal: Just to complete the event without stopping! maybe around 2hrs 10mins?
Biggest Concern: Passing Japanese whaling ships spotting me while I'm in my wetsuit. Details of the event can be found at: http://www.humanrace.co.uk/rough/index.html
If your not sure about the charity or sponsering me then why not just give a pound £1 as I'd apprecate any messages of support.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Save the Rhino International will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
