Story
Hi there, thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page. Running a London Marathon this year wasn't enough so I needed a new challenge!
I have decided to swap the Millenium Bridge in Salford for the Great Wall of China for an expidition of a lifetime in September for an extremely worthy cause, Marie Curie Cancer. Marie Curie is a great charity who provide nurses to help look after cancer patients in their own home. They work through the night or during the day to provide care for patients in the comfortable and familiar surroundings of their own home.
I am taking part in an 8-day trek along an architectural phenomenon – the only manmade structure visible from the moon
I am walking in memory of a young work colleague of mine who sadly passed away recently, and also for various family members, friends and relatives, and the amount of people who have been affected by cancer, in many different forms.
I will be trekking for approximately 8 miles per day, and hope to reach my target of £2700 in order to fund this expedition. I am really looking forward to the challenge as it's demanding but also very rewarding, to be doing such an amazing feat on behalf of a charity that gives so much to its cancer patients, improving their quality of life.
Thank you to everyone who sponsors me - I am so very grateful to everyone who gives.
Now the training begins!!
Thanks again
Paul.
