Paul Chumas is a consultant neuro surgeon at the Leeds General Infirmary and also a founder member and trustee of brain tumour charity Andrea's Gift.
Paul has once again foolishly agreed to take part in one of the world's most gruelling cycle races. In a few weeks, he is heading off for the French Pyrenees where he will take part in the L’Etape du Tour, a stage of the Tour de France.
On Monday 16th of July, Paul along with around 8,000 other riders from all over the world will tackle one of the most difficult stages of the Tour de France, from Foix to Loudenvielle covering a total of 202 kilometres (125.5 miles) and five significant climbs in under 12 hours.
The route of the 2007 Etape du Tour is without doubt a challenging one – it is 200km long and climbs five Pyrenean cols!
Please support Paul as he attempts this event for brain tumour research in Yorkshire.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor Paul: Andrea's Gift will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor Paul now!
Many thanks for your support.
All at Andrea's Gift
