About our charity : St Joseph's Hospice St Joseph's Hospice
St Josephs Hospice exists to help people live life to the full, to the very last. It has been enhancing lives, easing pain and bringing comfort and laughter for over a hundred years to those suffering from life limiting illnesses. St Joseph's broad range of services enriches the lives of patients and their families from the diverse communities of east and north-east London. St Joseph’s is available to all those who can benefit from it; we work to meet all the needs of our patients, including those which reflect their ethnic, cultural or religious heritage. All services are provided free.

Our personal message:

Thank you for visiting.  If you've arrived by accident and want to know more about the Armchair Treasure Hunt then go here: http://public.logicacmg.com/~ath/index.htm.

Pablo volunteered to organise 'The Fool on the Hill', his ninth treasure hunt last year whilst playing as part of Dave Harding's 'Uproar of Butterflies' team - winners of 'Best Overall Solution' in the 2006 hunt - Golf.

This continued the tradition in which he either organised or played in the ATH every year since 1985, when he and Brian Jackson set the very first ATH - 'The Melting Brain'.

Earlier this year he realised he was seriously ill and rushed to complete the puzzle early so he could hand it over to Mark Abbott to organise for him.

After his funeral, Mark, Dave, Paul Truswell and I discussed how to commemorate and celebrate the, often infuriating, pleasure Pablo has shared with us every Christmas for the last 20 years.  We thought that asking the winners and players of this year's hunt to consider making a contribution to St Joseph's Hospice, which supported Pablo during the final stages of his illness, was appropriate.  Hence this appeal.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: St Joseph's Hospice will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.

Please donate generously.

Many thanks for your support.
