Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Royal British Legion gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
On June 20th 2009, I will be one of many riders attempting to break a world record in conjunction with the Iron Butt UK association by riding 1000 miles in a 24 hour period. (This is not a race but an endurance event)
There are mileage checks and certain points that I must go to and get evidence of being there to keep everything above board.
I will be doing a Northern clockwise route going from Sherburn in Elmet near York to Manchester up to Penrith, towards Glasgow, onto Fort William and then up to the most northern part of my journey to Wick.
From Wick it will be back down onto Perth, Edinburgh, Berwick, Newcastle and back to the start point at Sherburn in Elmet - covering just shy of 1024 miles.
I would like to call on your generosity by supporting me and donating to the Poppy Appeal via the British Legion Riders Branch.
Thanks in advance, your support is vitally important.
