Could I ask that you stop for one minute and think about children with cancer...
In October last year our son Tomas was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL), cancer of the blood. To add insult to injury, Daniel, Tom's twin brother was also diagnosed as a carrier of ALL, with his blood containing the pre-Leukaemic clone cells - we wait and hope that he won’t develop the disease. Leukaemia has changed our lives forever. To put our five year old boy through such stress, pain and suffering tugs at our heart strings every day. As we look at other healthy children we ask ourselves, why us? That said, we are not alone; in attending countless hospital visits I meet many other children and families consumed with the same worry of cancer, each trying to understand the enormity of their situation.
Tomas is such a great inspiration to me, he is very accepting and rarely complains. So in support of my son and the many other children with cancer I will enter the Great South Run to raise as much money as possible for my chosen charity - CLIC Sargent. This is just my way of contributing to the research of childhood cancer and perhaps in some small way helping families pull through. Please click on the link and read about the fantastic help and support they provide to families and children touched by cancer.

Dig deep into your pockets and sponsor me - a pound or fifty pounds all will be gratefully received.
All the best,
Paul
