Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you will know by know, my first attempt to swim the channel ended in failure on Tuesday 9th August 2011, when one of my teammates was unfortunately taken ill whilst in the water. This was extremely disappointing not only for me, but I'm sure also for him.

However, undeterred, I am now putting together a second attempt with my other teammate, Fiona, and we are pressing ahead with our plans to try again between the 16th and the 26th September this year. A new team is being formed as we speak and plans are well under way.

So, I've extended the life of this page so that you can continue to support me in my endevours to cross the channel under my own steam.

I'm still raising money with this channel swim attempt number 2 for Pilgrims Hospice. If you would like to contribute to my fundraising efforts it would be very much appreciated. I'm still aiming at a target of £5000 and I'd be grateful for any donations, no matter how large or small.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now. Thank you for your support. If you'd like to monitor my latest progress, and read more about the first attempt, please check out my Blog at:-
