Albert Bartlett Edinburgh Marathon 2009 · 31 May 2009 ·

Capability Scotland delivers exemplary care, support and education for disabled children and adults across Scotland.

Story

In the last year or so, I've become more involved with how disability affects many of us in a variety of different ways.

So, I have decided to show my own personal commitment by embarking on this act of lunacy.

When running this years Edinburgh marathon, I chose Capability Scotland as my affiliated charity.  It aims to adress the needs of people with, in many cases, severe disabilities in Scotland and those of their families. They do lots to help, for example, running residential schools for disabled kids.

Times are challenging for us all. Key charities such as Capability Scotland are not immune from tough economic conditions. Now, more than ever, they need support through fundraising and I am honoured to act as ambassador for their cause.

That aside, I am enduring significant pain & many of you who know me would pay to see that alone, I'm sure. You should see the nick of my feet.

So please help if you can, even a little.

Paul
