Fishermen's Mission Walk the Great Wall of China · 10 November 2008

The Fishermen's Mission is the only national charity working solely to support active and retired fishermen and their families by providing practical, financial and pastoral support. Fishing is dangerous and unpredictable. Hardship and tragedy are facts of everyday life in the UK’s fishing industry.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

We have decided that it is about time we did one of those once in a lifetime opportunities, and in doing so will have the opportunity to help others. So on the 17th to 26th October 2009 we will be heading to China to walk part of the Great Wall.

In sponsoring us it will mean that The Fishermen's Mission  will be able to offer pastoral, emergency  and welfare support to Fishermen and their families 24 hours a day, 7 Days a week, 365 days a year. Having worked for the Mission for five years, I have seen the difference we can make to people's lives, and the joy we can bring.

So - please give us the encouragement to put the effort in to prepare ourselves by sending the thermometer at the top of the page off the screen.

Thank you for your support
