About my charity : Reprieve Reprieve
Reprieve uses the law to enforce the human rights of prisoners, from death row to Guantánamo Bay. We investigate, we litigate and we educate. Working on the frontline, we provide legal support to prisoners unable to pay for it themselves. We promote the rule of law around the world, and secure each person’s right to a fair trial. In doing so we save lives.

Great Capital Run takes place on Sunday,  20 July 2008 in Hyde Park, London.

Please sponsor me. I'm running to raise money for Reprieve - this is a charity that fights for the rights of people facing the death penalty in the USA and the Carribbean. It also acts against other violations of human rights.

Have a look at their page - www.reprieve.org.uk - its a top human rights organisation.

What your money can do:

  • £5 pays for a single police report in a death penalty case
  • £50 pays for a medical examination for a prisoner exonerated and released from death row
  • £100 buys an hour of professional translation of interviews with victims and witnesses of extraordinary renditions
  • £200 keeps an investigator on the road for two days, uncovering the facts to save a life
  • £500 purchases a flight for a lawyer to visit prisoners in Guantánamo  Bay
