| Hello, and thanks for visiting my donation page. Well, the walks are now done. For me, both 25k walks were difficult for differing reasons. The 1st was on a very warm day, 70+ with a monster of a hill to climb at the end ( the last 5k ), and the 2nd, although more up & down hill at the start, I got shin-splints about half way round which were very painful, but I, and all the others who took part, got there in the end. As well as thanking all those many, very generous people who have sponsored me so far, I'd also like to express special thanks to a few people ..... John G, without whom, if he had not agreed to join me in this venture, I may have been a little reluctant to go on my own. I hope that you enjoyed the whole experience as much as I did. Are we going to do it again in 2010 ? ( yeah, I thought so ). Sean O, for all the work he puts into getting this arranged. For his non-stop work while we were in France, dealing with all the various problems that nearly 90 people may go to him with, but especially, for the welcome that he, and the rest of his team gave me. Cheers !! ... and finally, to Anne & the kids, for putting up with all my moans & groans about aches & pains during my preparation for this. For allowing me to 'put-off' all those little jobs around the house ( ok, ok, I'll do them now, I promise ), but also for all your support and encouragement during the past few months. x If you are reading this for the first time, REMEMBER !! It's still not too late to donate to this wonderful organisation, run by some very special people, for the benefit of some even more incredible individuals. So dig deep, be as generous as you can, as every penny, or pound, counts. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: HCPT - The Pilgrimage Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. Many thanks again for all your support. Paul . |
