We are powered by people. We’re here to find a cure and improve lives, together.

Story

Like many other people, my brother is suffering from the effects of Parkinson's Disease. This cycle trip is a personal challenge for me firstly to see what, at 61, I still have left in my locker and secondly to give what support I can to Parkinson's UK who help fund vital research into the disease. It is a trip my brother and I have talked about for years and I thought it was about time for some action! I started at Easter from Lands End and after a number of brief encounters with rain, wind and more rain, I have now, July 16th, reached Carlisle. The plan is to reach John O'Groats at the end of August, meet up with my brother and the Scottish relatives and enjoy several wee drams!!!

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
