Flora London Marathon 2009 · 26 April 2009 ·

We believe that all pets should have access to veterinary care – regardless of their owners’ financial situation. Over 100 years, we’ve helped more than 20 million sick and injured pets – providing life-saving vet care to more vulnerable pets than any other animal charity in the UK today.

Story

Paul Irvine Smith is running the 2009 Flora London Marathon for PDSA!

1. Why are you running the FLM 2009 for PDSA?
As a vet, I am overwhelmed by the compassion people have for their animals. Sadly they do not always have the funds to pay for the treatment their pets need. We help out where we can, but in many cases, the PDSA offers a life line to those in need.

2. Do you have a target time?
Under 4 hours would be good, under 3 and a half would be fantastic!!!

3. How are you getting on with your training?
So far so good! There have been no injury niggles and the mileage is creeping up into double figures.

4. What are your fundraising plans - do you have a specific target?

A pound a mile will make me smile! I am aiming to try and convince 100 generous souls to take this up, but every penny will be gratefully received.

5. How did you hear about running for PDSA.

Through my work, they seemed an obvious and very worthy choice.
