Towering over the sandy plains of Tanzania, stands Mount Kilimanjaro – the world's tallest free-standing mountain.

This breathtaking trek will guide me up the challenging Machame route where I'll trek through deep forest, home to spectacular wildlife, stretching up to moorland and then onwards towards glaciers before attempting to reach the summit, Uhuru Peak which stands just below 20,000ft.

I will be battling against extreme heat during the day, freezing conditions at night and high altitude and snow as we head for the summit, making this the most challenging experience of my life. I will be spending the next 4 months training to increase my chances of reaching the summit; be part of this truly magnificent journey by sponsoring me through this web page.
